Understanding Crystallization in a simple way
OBJECTIVE

The main idea behind this animated video is to make students understand how crystals are formed, the basic mechanism behind it, their importance in daily life through animation. This will help students to learn basics of nucleation and growth and further the importance of single crystals.

SCIENCE

Crystallization is process by which solid forms in highly organized structure in pure state known as crystals, which involves two stages nucleation and subsequently growth in forms of crystals which is explained in detailed manner with cartoon animated video. The process of crystallization starts with nucleation which is the birth of new crystal i.e., when a new phase of material evolves which subsequently leads to formation of bigger crystal by agglomeration of similar entities which is termed as Growth of Crystal.

SIGNIFICANCE

Crystallization process is very much desired for bringing salt, sugar crystals into pure state. Now a days in optical communication/semiconductor industry crystals of organic and inorganic materials are widely used and can be grown from wide variety of techniques.
